PGT Drug discovery with AI student from University of Liverpool.
Highly motivated to gain part-time professional experience, contribute to a team, and learn from industry experts. Adaptable, proactive, and eager to apply AI-driven and technical skills in real-world environments.

About Me
I am Anjali, a biotechnology graduate currently pursuing an MSc in Drug Discovery with AI at the University of Liverpool (2025–2026). My academic journey spans a BSc in Botany (Hons) and an MSc in Biotechnology from Punjabi University and Panjab University, where I consistently achieved strong results, including over 83% in my master’s degree.
I have experience across research, editing, and industry. As a Research Assistant and Intern at Exotic Ayurveda, I supported process improvements, supervised production, and managed data collection, analysis, and reporting for R&D projects.
In my role as a Research Editor at Optimoshell OmAK Solutions, I worked on plagiarism checks, citation corrections, manuscript formatting, visual presentation (PowerPoint, Canva), and preparing research for publication in medical and scientific fields.
My master’s research project focused on in‑silico inhibition of the Smoothened homology precursor protein in the Sonic Hedgehog pathway using phytochemicals (daidzein, curcumin, and pinosylvin) as a strategy to identify potential drug candidates against medulloblastoma. This work strengthened my interest in computational drug discovery and structure‑based design.
Technically, I am comfortable in both wet and dry labs. My wet‑lab experience includes RNA/DNA isolation, cell culture, gel electrophoresis, Western blotting, PCR, chromatography, FTIR spectroscopy, and basic clinical sample handling (plasma/serum isolation, blood grouping). On the computational side, I use tools such as BLAST, homology modelling, ChemSketch, AutoDock Vina, GOLD, Webina, PyMOL, QSAR workflows, Biopython, MUSCLE, and introductory VAE‑based generative modelling, with Python and Conda as my main programming environment.
Alongside research, I work as a tutor at Origin Education in Liverpool, teaching English, Maths, Science, IELTS, and 11+ preparation (including Bluecoat School entry) to students aged 8–17 from the UK and China. This role has deepened my communication, organisation, and mentoring skills. I also hold several relevant certifications, including training in clinical research and data management, GC & FTIR, experimental behavioural neurosciences, GCP (NIHR), and an IELTS Academic score of 7.
I am now looking for opportunities where I can contribute to research, data‑driven problem solving, and scientific communication, particularly in biotechnology, drug discovery, and AI‑enabled life sciences. If my profile aligns with your needs, I would be happy to connect and discuss potential collaboration or roles.
